What this tool checks

The response state of the final page

HTTP status code

Shows the final main-document status code observed by the browser.

Online state

Summarizes whether the current browser check completed successfully or detected an error response.

Final URL

Shows the destination the browser reaches after following redirects.

Redirect count

Reports how many main-document redirects occur before the final response.

TTFB

Adds first-byte timing so a successful 200 response can still be evaluated for delay.

HTTPS state

Shows whether the final URL is served over HTTPS.

Interpret the result

A status code tells you what the server said, not whether the page is good.

A 2xx response generally indicates success, 3xx responses redirect, 4xx responses indicate client-side request errors, and 5xx responses indicate server errors. SiteState reports the final main-document response after navigation.

The current checker does not expose every intermediate redirect status code. For that reason it should be treated as a final-status checker with redirect count, not as a full redirect-chain tracer.

Methodology

SiteState observes the final main-document response during a controlled Chromium navigation. The tool follows redirects and reports the final status, final URL and redirect count.

FAQ

Common questions about this website check

What HTTP status codes can SiteState show?

The checker reports the final HTTP status code observed for the main document, including common 2xx, 3xx, 4xx and 5xx responses.

Does it follow redirects?

Yes. The browser follows redirects and SiteState reports the final URL plus the number of document redirects observed.

Does it show every status in the redirect chain?

Not yet. The current tool reports the final status and redirect count rather than a per-hop status table.

Does HTTP 200 mean my page is healthy?

Not necessarily. A page can return 200 and still be slow, incomplete or degraded. SiteState includes browser performance context in the wider report.
